Tank is a 50g cube and id say about a 20g sump.
Tank is lightly stocked one small sps frag a clam and some soft corals.
MG 1380
6.1 Dkh
380 Cal
I have BRS 2 part and I used the calculator to get the amounts to achieve my desired amount. I could safely raise the calcium in one day but the ALK is too low to add all of it at once. I always feel better adding them in equal parts. Is that my best bet or should i just add the recommended amounts at max for one day for alk and ca? hope that makes sense.

Much better. I thought your first post was written by a caveman.

Thank you. I'm just splitting the doses Cal in the morning and alk at night and doing equal parts for now and I'll test in two days. But I guess what I'm asking is should I always dose alk and Cal in equal parts or is normal for a tank to eat more alk then Cal?

In a perfect world equal amounts. It should balance out over time. Also check magnesium that will help keep numbers stable. I keep mine around 1380. Good luck.

Thank you. Yea I know calcium won't hold if mag is low. I fixed that first. I know alk have a weird zone they have to stay in or they will go whack. But I'm just gonna do everything slow.

What do you want to raise your calcium too? IMO 380 is fine

My alk is what was too low. I just know alk and calcium work together and figured I didn't want to try and just raise Alk. I was just going for an Alk around 9 and calcium 420-450. I noticed my Alk test is expired so I'm just gonna stop dosing till I get a new one and just WC once a week instead of every two.

I have one it's expired also. That's what made me realize something was wrong one test said 7 Hanna said 10. Drives me nuts.
