I can see your point, I am sure you have been to the baltimore aquarium, I have a buddy down there Jeremy that says they are moving a good bit of their reef exhibits over to LED lighting. i do agree, nothing can reproduce the sun, the MH does a good job though. I have always been skeptical of the LED lighting and the main reason why i have not changed over yet. I have a little 10g i wanted to try the LED, We will see how the SPS and other corals will react.

Ahh its ok, I get a little passionate with my hobby also, besides work it’s all i really do. Keeps me sane ya know... I just go off what my experiences has shown me, and i tend to lean on my experience when lending advice. I am not a light scientist or have ever studied light, but i do have a super strong background in biology so that has helped me thus far in this hobby. You have prompted me to set up an experiment, I still need to work out all the details, but, I do want to put this little light discussion to test.
As I mentioned before in my original post, I am looking to move my Lighting from HQI to LED and I do have a few questions so maybe in the future I can come to you with them. My questions relate more to the LED then the function. I have a huge engineering lab at work with all kinds of goodies to build a super sweet light. I was thinking of using CEE XE LEDs Not sure yet
I wish to move past this little discrepancy and I too am sorry for the way i acted.
